This is my "progress" for today. My goal was backlighting like the photo below.
Today I found out that the Shelton Rotating Art Gallery doesn't allow nudes. That is surreal. Wow, the people in charge are apparently not artists -otherwise they'd know that drawing prople isn't about "jollies" (it's about lighting, humanity, challenges and beauty -same as anything real).
In talking to my very smart mom about how I should paint her expression, she said that the emotion of a stuck lady with a lute and a dangling leg would be.... stoic. That sounds good to me. I might be able to work on her later today but holy cow I'm pooped from this today.
Hmmmm. Any tips?
