Today was a wonderful day. I got to have my dreams come into fruition, see my friend, see horses, be at the stables, paint all day, be in medieval gear, and meet many cool people. The Seattle Knights and Mounted Archers were pretty much movie stars here haha:). When I saw one at first, I literally said, "You look amazing." Didn't phase him. Probably heard that before. I learned that he is in charge of the Seattle Knights and trains them every Wednesday to fight ..."and die"! He said I should try acrylics because they dry faster and are good for shipping. Turns out that this man in chain mail was an artist that painted Magic Cards! Woahhh!! Must see!
This is my Plein Air oil painting of the landscape including the Kettle Corn tent beside me. My former student, Sam, was a mounted archer in that outdoor arena pictured here. I took a pic to add people later if that's up anyone's alley.
My booth had things that I put effort into, but what did you/do you notice?
I sold one painting! It was the Ancient Horse one on the top right. They were excited about the color. It was for a belated birthday present. A future artist! She asked really great questions like, "how long have you been an artist", "how many are you working on now?"
Music!! I loved their music! It added so much and was so darn classy. You gotta add the song, Fyre Fyre to your bucket list. I want my choir to sing it. It is pretty impressive and there is a to die for bass part. Also also also! They gave us Game of Thrones theme ahhh. Possibly obligatory haha:). When peole were walking towards them to see the battles in the arena, they'd id the song and their walk turned into a trot. Gotta share the mind blowing awesome fact that they even let me sing with them! I was really having fun the wole time trying beside someone really good.
Really good job to all the workers and "you are the best!" to all people that attended. Such nice families and cute kids that were smart and gregarious.
Genius and generous Robyn has this even to benefit charity and supports horse arts at ELS Stables. We horsey people are truly lucky to have Robyn in our lives. Look at my life now because of her: lessons, fence, future horse, art selling opportunities even!
