I got to go to a Meet Up in Seattle and figure draw for two hours with Jamie Bollenbach coaching us. I learned a lot and my most memorable: Don't just think in black n white -show the variety of relationships relative to each other by gently pressing when you see something indescribably neither dark nor light. Check out the second pic with the two 5 min drawings. I started drawing her "red" hair with the light shinging through it. I think I got three shades rather than my normal two "stamped look" this time generally speaking.
