I interviewed and was accepted as a permanent artist into the Arts of Snohomish Gallery!
I am painting up a storm to be ready by February 3rd since most of my art is in the Shelton Rotating Art Gallery or of nude figures or Game of Thrones copyright or commissioned artwork I need to put in the mail.
So, I asked a few people to send me photos: ELS Stables for horses, my brother in law that takes unique pics of condemned buildings, and uncle that is a professional photographer that takes family pics, and my friend, Minta who takes pics of great things like sunsets, the ocean, flowers, and animals.
Here is a picture from my unicycling brother, Matt Josal! I started it yesterday and getting it slowly but surely. I think it will be cool. I am developing my skill of not even looking at my canvas at all and only looking at the picture: kind of like keeping my eyes on my music or conductor, not the piano keys or music so much.
Love!
Before pic:
Here’s after working on it for a day. I’m having trouble getting the right color green. My latest teacher, Jaime, said to not use green paint to make green. I’m trying to use: yellow, gray, brown. I need an olive green. And a brain. If I can see it, I can draw it, but things like leaves and blades of grass are difficult to comprehend.
