I am learning to use acrylics and speed paint for the Seattle Art Battle.
Below is my first attempt at a 20 min painting. I’m using pictures I took at Fort Warden in Port Townsend, Wa. Eventually, I have to paint from memory.
This one is the best because I worked with a good picture used two skills: vanishing point and lights n darks are close:
My third isn’t that good because of the composition. There isn’t a vanishing point, so it’s difficult to describe what’s going on easily.
Then, I went back to a vanishing point picture and it was easier.
On Mr. “Snow” , I mostly just changed his background color to blue instead of green and happened to make dragon scales.
His face and hair will take a very patient day.
