Here’s my progression where I learned to utilize a small image at the end to really get the skin closer to the correct color.

Painted upside down to mot be too critical. It’s a back-lit picture and I need to solve that problem.
Painting in public helps me a lot. Other people encourage me, I don’t stop when it gets tough, and I’m not bothered by my kids or pets.
